Stella Nova, the brand-new hotel at Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe, opened its doors today, offering guests not only a sleek and modern getaway but also an array of fantastic amenities. Highlights include Early Park Admission (valid theme park admission required, select attractions), a convenient shuttle bus service, accessible rooms upon request, and a resort-style pool with an interactive water feature. Guests can also enjoy a large spa, a fitness center, a game room (fees apply), various dining options, a Universal Studios Store, and so much more!
I was lucky enough to experience this highly anticipated resort firsthand. From the moment I arrived at 11 a.m., the excitement was palpable. Team members greeted us at the entrance with cheers, creating a celebratory atmosphere for this grand opening.
After a quick check-in, I wasted no time exploring. My first stop was the Nova Bar, where I sampled the Black Hole espresso martini (a bold start to the day) and the bright and refreshing Sol cocktail.

Next, I ventured to the Galaxy Bar by the pool and tried the Leo cocktail and the Cassiopeia—my personal favorite so far. Dinner at Cosmos Café & Market was another highlight. Between the Turkey BLT, tomato soup with grilled cheese, and the creamy mac and cheese, there was something for everyone to love.
What I Loved
Stella Nova impressed me with its sleek and modern theme, perfectly complementing the galaxy-inspired decor. The mural in the and the soft accent lighting in the rooms gave the resort a luxurious yet playful touch. The live entertainment at check-in and a special lemonade created just for the event added to the welcoming atmosphere. Plus, the staff went above and beyond to ensure guests had a stellar experience. With Epic Universe right next door, this hotel is bound to be a favorite for future parkgoers.

What Could Be Improved
While the day was mostly smooth, a few hiccups stood out. Directional signage was noticeably absent upon arrival—emails or signs would’ve been helpful since the main entrance was closed. Dinner was quick for my party, but some friends waited over 30 minutes for their food despite ordering less. Also, the TV in our room was crooked, and we heard similar complaints from other guests. Lastly, self-parking rates seemed inconsistent, with different parties being quoted different amounts.
Overall Thoughts
Stella Nova delivers a fun, modern experience that’s perfect for guests looking for a stylish yet budget-friendly stay near Universal Orlando’s newest park, Epic Universe. The sleek decor, incredible hospitality, and proximity to the park make it a standout choice for visitors. While there were a few minor hiccups—like inconsistent parking rates, lack of signage, and the water pressure in the shower—the overall experience was fantastic.
For those planning to visit Epic Universe, Stella Nova is a stellar option that offers convenience, comfort, and a touch of luxury without breaking the bank. I can’t wait to see how the resort evolves as it settles into its role as part of Universal’s growing portfolio.
